Options are truly endless when it comes to decorating your home for the holidays but these tips might just be some of the simplest while still creating a visual impact! Using the basic elements in a house, here are three easygoing suggestions to give your home a Christmas boost in a flash.

KITCHEN

During the holidays, the kitchen sees plenty of action especially if you are someone who enjoys entertaining. Because of all the constant traffic, what better way to show your Christmas spirit and flaunt your decorating skills than by embellishing your kitchen! And luckily for us, there are numerous ways to do this. You can utilize the countertops and shelves and switch out some everyday items for a few festive alternatives like bright red cooking utensils and mixing bowls. Christmas treats in clear jars, canisters or holiday trays make a cheery addition to everyday kitchen décor while keeping the countertop organized. Take advantage of glass cabinet doors and beautify with decorative ribbon from corner to corner creating an X pattern and attach a glittery holiday ornament in the middle.

TABLES AND CENTERPIECES

Gorgeous table centerpieces don’t need to be complex or involve expensive materials. Easy DIY projects can be designed with common bits and pieces found right in your home.  Display favorite Christmas cards on a tiered stand along with artificial greens, small presents and ornaments. Float roses and a few evergreen twigs inside a clear container, and surround with holly. Build on a clear tray and you’ve got a portable decoration! Create a festive tabletop accessory by filling clear vases with ornaments or holiday treats. And if all fails, you can always forgo the fine china, fancy linens and extravagant centerpiece for a unique runner that will steal the dinner scene. This is only a smidgen of inspiration for beautiful yet easy arrangements that will wow your family and guests. Just find some free surface space and unleash those creative talents!

WALLS

Add holiday cheer by taking advantage of the blank walls in your house. Sometimes we neglect the walls due to the extra harm necessary to hang and display trimmings but walls are like a bare canvas just waiting to be adorned. Double up and Highlight a buffet or sideboard with square green wreaths hung on the wall above it. If you’re hosting a party, the artful arrangement is an eye-catching way to draw guests to the goodies. Create simple holiday artwork by transforming an empty frame. Be ecological and frame scraps of wrapping paper or fully wrap existing wall décor. Make it personal and fill the room with love and warm wishes by adding holiday messages to your walls!
