Solid surfacing countertops are made of non-porous, acrylic material and are available in a range of colors and patterns, including some eco-friendly options.
In this kitchen, Scavolini uses a worktop called Cristalan to create beautiful seamless surfaces and enhance the aesthetics of the kitchen. Because solid surfacing is nonporous, requires no sealing or special cleaning, it’s virtually maintenance free! Also with extensive colour and pattern options, you can experiment with vibrant hues.
On the other side, solid surfacing can have an artificial look and feel, yet can approach the price of natural stone. They are also susceptible to scratching and less heat-resistant than your other natural stone materials such as quartz or granite.
